The prerequisite for to receive the sponsorship is confirming your participation at the starting line on the race day. Other details regarding 2025 sponsorship entitlement will be shared at a later date.
The subsidy will only be granted to HKBU staff, students and alumni.
If you have already graduated, you will not be eligible for 100% sponsorship as a student, but you are still eligible for 50% sponsorship as an alumnus. If you have left your job on the event date, you will not be eligible for sponsorship as a staff member.
If you fulfil the requirements for obtaining the sponsorship (which will be announced later), the entry fee sponsorship will be reimbursed through bank transfer. The arrangements of the reimbursement are as follows:
Staff: reimburse through your payroll account.
Students: reimburse through the bank account you provide in the BUniPort system. Exchange students will be individually arranged.
Alumni: reimburse through the bank account provided by you.

No, the account holder must be the alumnus himself/ herself. If the information does not match, the bank reserves the right to reject the transfer request of the University, resulting in the delay or cancellation of the reimbursement.
We will reimburse the entry fee sponsorship through bank transfer. If you do not have or cannot provide the information of a Hong Kong bank account, we will be unable to reimburse the entry fee sponsorship.

Yes, they can enjoy the same benefits as the HKBU members except for the official entry fee sponsorship. Details of the benefits will be announced on the HKBU Marathon Team website later.

HKBU runners can choose to collect your t-shirt in person at Kowloon Tong Campus or via SF Express COD.
We have already sent an email on “Pre-race Preparation for HKBU Runner”. You need to indicate your collection preference by filling in the online enrolment form by 14 January 2024 (Sunday). If we haven’t received your reply after the deadline, you need to collect your t-shirt in-person at Kowloon Tong Campus.

The HKBU booth will operate on the Marathon Day from 5am to 1pm at Causeway Bay Sports Ground.
Luggage storage service, traditional Chinese massage service (provided by the School of Chinese Medicine), refreshments, a photo-taking area, and a collection of HKBU runner's souvenir packs will be available at our booth.

On the Marathon Day, you are required to wear the HKBU runner's T-shirt and drop your luggage at the designated luggage collection point at the specified time. Please place your belongings into the official luggage bag and attach the official luggage tag provided by the official organiser. We only accept clean and simple clothing items such as shirts, pants, socks, and shoes.
