HKBU Triumphs at the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025
The Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) marathon team, comprising over 600 staff members, students, alumni and friends, participated in various races of Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon 2025 on 9 February. This event was a testament to HKBU’s commitment to health, sports excellence, and community engagement, as runners demonstrated resilience, teamwork, and the pursuit of excellence.
On race day, the HKBU booth at Causeway Bay Sports Ground provided souvenir and refreshment redemption, along with post-race recovery services offered by the School of Chinese Medicine, ensuring the well-being of all runners. HKBU also leveraged the marathon for sports science research by real-time monitoring the physiological indicators of participating runners during the race. By integrating these data with meteorological information and the athletes’ locations, assessment on the runners’ physical conditions can be made, and timely assistance can be provided when necessary.
The event served as a strong demonstration of HKBU’s mission to integrate innovation with sports development, positively impacting both athletic performance and community health.
We look forward to seeing even more HKBU runners embrace the challenge in 2026!
